This amazing and awe-inspiring Buddhist statue was created in homage to the Sukhothai era in Thailand, dating back to the 13th and 14th centuries. Thai Buddha statues at that time were known for their fine curled hair, gentle smile, high curved eyebrows, flame aureole and downward gaze. The robes of the Buddha can often be seen hung diagonal across a tapered torso with narrow hips. This particular Buddha is seated on a tall throne with his hands in the cosmic mudra position, symbolizing the enlightened state. The inscription on the base of the throne reads, "Prajao Dtanjai Rundtradtang", which is the name of this Thai Buddha. Set this impressive and magnificent statue in any decorative setting for a stunning look.
